Project Listing and Review Mechanism

Project Submission Process

The project submission process on SolScore is designed to be transparent, decentralized, and straightforward for projects seeking visibility within the Solana ecosystem. Unlike traditional platforms that rely on manual curation or centralized approval, SolScore uses smart contracts to facilitate a fair and automated project listing.

How Project Submission Works

1. Smart Contract Interaction

Projects seeking to be listed on SolScore must interact with a dedicated smart contract. By doing so, they initiate the listing process in a decentralized manner without any human intervention. The use of smart contracts ensures that all projects are treated equally and are subject to the same listing conditions.

2. SOL Payment for Listing

To list a project, developers must pay a specific amount of SOL (the native cryptocurrency of Solana) as a listing fee. This payment is processed directly through the smart contract, which eliminates the need for centralized gatekeeping. The fee structure ensures that only serious projects with real backing can be listed, while preventing spam or low-quality submissions.

3. Categorization of Projects

During the submission process, project owners must select a category that best represents their project. Available categories include Meme Coins, NFTs, DeFi, DAOs, and DePIN. Categorization helps users find relevant projects more easily when browsing or filtering through listings. Each project’s category is immutable once listed, ensuring the integrity of the platform's categorization system.

4. On-Chain Verification

Once a project is successfully submitted, its details are stored on-chain, ensuring that the submission data is immutable and publicly accessible. This transparency gives users confidence that all listed projects have followed the same decentralized submission process. The listing information, such as project name, category, description, and website, is available for everyone to view and verify.

5. Community Engagement via Discord

While the smart contract handles the technical submission, project teams are encouraged to engage with the SolScore community through the platform’s Discord channel. Here, projects can interact with potential users, answer questions, and build trust, supplementing their decentralized listing with real-time community engagement.

This automated, decentralized process empowers projects of all sizes to gain visibility in the Solana ecosystem without relying on gatekeepers or middlemen. By reducing friction in the listing process, SolScore fosters a dynamic, open environment for innovation.

User Review System

The user review system on SolScore is central to the platform’s mission of providing transparent, credible evaluations of projects within the Solana ecosystem. By allowing authenticated users to submit reviews, the platform ensures that only verified contributors can leave feedback, creating a reliable source of information for other users.

How the User Review System Works

1. Wallet Authentication

To submit a review, users must first authenticate with their Solana wallet. This ensures that all reviews are tied to a real, verifiable wallet address, preventing anonymous or fake submissions. Wallet authentication also gives users ownership over their reviews and increases the accountability of feedback. Users can only submit reviews if their wallet is connected, and each review is permanently associated with that wallet.

2. Text Review and Star Rating

Once authenticated, users can leave both a text review and a star rating for any listed project. The text review allows users to provide detailed feedback on their experiences, while the star rating offers a quick, visual snapshot of the project's overall quality. The 5-star rating system, with 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest, ensures that reviews are easily digestible while still providing depth through the accompanying written feedback.

3. Verified and Transparent Reviews

Each review submitted on SolScore is permanently stored on-chain, making it immutable and transparent. This blockchain-backed storage system ensures that reviews cannot be altered, deleted, or manipulated after submission, providing users with confidence in the authenticity and accuracy of the feedback they read. Anyone can verify the origin of a review by checking the associated wallet address on Solana’s blockchain explorer.

4. Reputation-Driven Feedback

Reviews are more than just text and star ratings — they also contribute to the reviewer's reputation within the SolScore platform. Reviews submitted by users are considered verified, and each verified review adds to the user’s reputation score. A higher reputation score signifies a trusted, consistent contributor, while users with lower scores may be newer or less active. The community can also upvote or downvote reviews, allowing higher-quality reviews to stand out and further increasing the reputation score of the reviewer.

5. Community-Based Upvotes

To incentivize high-quality feedback, SolScore enables users to upvote helpful reviews. Reviews that provide valuable insights or detailed analysis can receive upvotes from the community, boosting the reviewer’s reputation score. The more upvotes a review gets, the higher it appears in the rankings, allowing users to quickly identify the most informative feedback.

6. Spam Prevention and Downvotes

SolScore employs a community-driven spam prevention mechanism. If a review is flagged as spam by other users or receives downvotes, it may be removed or deprioritized, ensuring that the platform remains a trusted source of information. Reviews that are deemed spam do not contribute to a user’s reputation score, incentivizing users to provide honest, constructive feedback.

7. Average Rating Calculation

Each project on SolScore displays an average rating, calculated from the star ratings of all submitted reviews. This average rating is updated in real-time as new reviews are added, giving users an immediate snapshot of a project’s standing within the community. The average rating helps users quickly identify whether a project is generally viewed positively or negatively, while the accompanying text reviews provide further context.

By combining wallet authentication with a reputation-driven review system, SolScore creates a reliable, community-driven platform where users can access honest, transparent evaluations of Solana projects. This system not only empowers users to make informed decisions but also fosters a culture of accountability and integrity within the Solana ecosystem.
